CHCNAV Apache4 USV
Autonomous USV for ADCP flow measurement

The Apache4 is an Unmanned Surface Vehicle supporting a wide variety of ADCP systems for efficient hydrographic, bathymetric and hydrological surveys. With a shallow draft, high navigational accuracy and stable hovering, it combines high-accuracy positioning and automated navigation built around ADCP cross-section flow measurement. Adaptive water-flow and hovering technology significantly improves flow-estimation accuracy, while an internal GNSS+IMU module provides reliable position and heading even in obstructed environments.
- Adaptive flow + hovering navigation
- Compatible with common ADCPs
- Carries up to 30 kg payload
- Built-in single-beam echo sounder
- GNSS+IMU positioning
- Obstacle-avoidance radar + live video
Why the CHCNAV Apache4 USV
Advanced navigation controller
Adaptive water-flow straight-line and hovering technology navigates the cross-section accurately even as flow rate and turbulence change, improving the accuracy of flow estimation.
Compatible with common ADCP
A central access shaft carries leading ADCPs such as the M9, RTDP 1200, RiverPro and RiverRay, and provides positioning, orientation, power, waterproofing, network and 4G transmission - up to 30 kg payload.
Built-in single-beam echo sounder
Single-beam sounding verifies ADCP bottom-tracking data and provides water-depth profile data alongside the flow-velocity profile.
Smart positioning and navigation
GNSS+IMU keeps position available during momentary GNSS loss, with obstacle-avoidance radar, live video and the AutoPlanner and HydroSurvey software suite for full mission control from shore.
