Civicomp was established in 1988 as a company providing bureau services to technical surveyors and civil engineering consultants and contractors. At that stage in-house developed software was used, and many of the leading contractors and consultants of today made use of these services since CAD design and quantification software was not yet commercially available.
After Model Maker Systems was established in 1989 to sell, support and further develop the software, Civicomp’s client base shifted from users of its bureau services to buyers of the software Civicomp itself uses. Today Civicomp continues to use the extensive Model Maker Systems software range to deliver accurate, cost-effective services to clients who need outsourced use of the software.
